Trade-In
Terms & Conditions
For every 8 books of good or better quality you trade in, you get 1 free item of the same type.
Customers must make their selections for trade the same day.
We do not keep a tally of books donated for trade.
Items must be traded for the same type.
A customer is allowed to trade in media (DVDs, records, CDs, VHS) for new free media, but they cannot trade the media for books. They are allowed to mix and match the media, but only media. Ex, a customer can trade 24 DVDs for 1 CD, 1 VHS, and 1 record- but they cannot trade them for a book.
A customer is only allowed to trade children’s books for new children’s books. They are allowed to trade for cardboard-books, picture books, and starter chapter books, but may not trade for novels or adult fiction/nonfiction.
A customer is allowed to trade in books of any genre (excluding children’s books) in exchange for free books or media. They are allowed to mix genres and types but may not trade for book bundles.
Items will NOT be accepted for trade-in if they:
Are excessively dusty or dirty.
Are infested (even minimally) or have live bugs.
Smell strongly of any foul odor (ex. Cigarettes, dampness, smoke).
Are in less than good condition.
Items for trade must be in good condition.
Books
The book cover should have minimal damage, but no holes or tears.
The dust jacket should be included if applicable.
The binding should have minimal damage.
No missing or damaged pages, majority of pages undamaged.
Minimal tears, possibly very minimal creasing, minimal underlining or highlighting of text, and minimal writing in the margins.
Media
DVDs, CDs, VHS, and records should either be in their original packaging or new packaging with labels.
CDs and DVDs must be present in the case and cannot be excessively scratched.
Journals/Coloring Books/Activity Books
Should have minimal writing, coloring, or markings present.
Should have minimal damage to cover and pages, very few pages should be removed.
